Camilla Andersen - Producer
Camilla Andersen is a natural born storyteller who has spent her life looking for ways to connect with the world. She has produced all manner of moving images from travel documentaries to commercials. Born and raised in South Africa, she moved to New Zealand in her teenage years and started a life long affair with the Pacific. Approached by director/animator Shane Mason in 2007 with the idea to turn well loved children books about Maui into animations, she jumped at the chance to make this happen. Camilla is very pleased that in the ten years since its birth, the short animations of A Maui Te Tipua have enjoyed increased visibility as the stories of The Pacific continue to impact and interest our world.

Shane Mason - Director / Animator
Berlin based New Zealander, Shane Mason has spent his creative career on the fringes of many digital disciplines, developing skills in music production, design, animation and video fields over the past 18 years. In 2007 He brought to life a beloved New Zealand book series about Maui from writer and illustrator, Peter Gossage. Along with producer Camilla Andersen, they produced 6 short animations, and presented them completely in Te Reo Maori for the first time. This journey into the stories of the Pacific would lead them both to venture further into the Pacific, filming a series called “The Blue Continent” for Travel channel.
